2024 SUMMER PICNICS

Last year at our first Summer Picnic event we had a great turnout of members and their families, and decided we would love to have this be an annual tradition. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together as a Union family and get to know members from other facilities! Each location last year had plenty of fun things happening in addition to the delicious food - music, cornhole bags games, playgrounds, room for the kids to run or toss a football! We also did giveaways for members, items such as iPads, Bluetooth speakers, Amazon Echo, and kids backpacks. We will be doing giveaways again this year, so be sure to attend for your chance to win! This year we will be holding picnics in Waterloo, Davenport, Beardstown, IL, and Knoxville. We encourage members and their families to attend the picnic that is closest to them.

We are excited to be able to provide school supplies for members and their families again this year as well! We understand that buying school supplies can be a financial hardship for many families, especially with multiple school-aged children. We want to help alleviate that cost for our hardworking members. School supplies will be bundled by need - elementary students and secondary (middle/high school) students - and ready for easy pick up throughout the picnic at each location. For elementary students the supplies provided will be notebooks, folders, pencils, erasers, crayons, ruler, and glue sticks. For secondary students the supplies provided will be notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, erasers, ruler, and colored pencils.
